Childrens hospitals locked down due to fake gun calls

first_imgA number of children’s hospitals were subject to fake gun calls Sunday night, including the Alberta Children’s Hospital in Calgary.Police say someone called and reported seeing a gun in the building on Shaganappi Trail NW, around 8:30 p.m.The hospital was immediately put on lockdown, while officers searched the building.Nothing was found, and the lockdown was lifted an hour later.Similar gun calls were made about the Stollery Children’s Hospital in Edmonton and SickKids in Toronto around the same time Sunday.Nothing was found in either of those locations.last_img
